With cruise halted, Royal Caribbean launches an airline

Royal Caribbean this morning announced from the UK it was going into air travel.

A new plane shows the RCI livery, along with the news that the innovative line has incorporated some of its signature ship designs, including  a “slide in the sky” in its cabin and a Bionic Bar, as well as an “ultimate Family Suite” and the Ripcord iFly skydiving simulator.

UK and Ireland managing director Ben Bouldin said: “We believe that every step of our guests’ holiday should be extraordinary and when the sky’s the limit, launching an aircraft was the natural next step! Some of our well-known and much-loved favourites have been ingeniously integrated, including the world’s first slide in the sky, and we look forward to the latest addition to our fleet taking to the skies in 2022.”

Guests who called for bookings were politely told to look at the date.
