Viking Hemming

Overview: Viking Hemming is being introduced into the Viking River Cruise fleet for the 2014 Portugal and Spain season. She carries up to 106 guests and is exclusively built to sail Portugal’s Douro River.

Cabins: 53 comfortable outside staterooms (11 Veranda Suites, 23 Veranda Staterooms, 3 French Balcony Staterooms, 16 Standard Staterooms).

The Veranda Suites feature two rooms with a veranda off the living room and a French balcony in the bedroom.

Rooms also include amenities like the 40-inch flat-panel TVs with an infotainment system featuring movies on demand plus CNBC, CNN, ESPN, FOX, National Geographic and more.

Entertainment: Sun deck with 360-degree views, a shaded sitting area and al fresco dining area; swimming pool, organic herb garden, solar panels & putting green, aquavit Terrace with a revolutionary indoor/outdoor viewing area at the bow of the ship, library corner and onboard boutique and free wireless internet.

Dining: Restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows for panoramic views.

Bars/Lounges: Observation lounge & bar with floor-to-ceiling glass doors.

Onboard Activities: Visit port wine–making facilities along the Douro, tour Lisbon’s Bairro Alto (the old town area) and colorful Alfama district, dine at a centuries-old monastery converted to a museum, enjoy a Portuguese folkloric show and a Spanish flamenco performance and tour the Mateus Palace and its spectacular gardens.
