The Hurtigruten MS Midnastol was built in 2003 by Fosen Mekaniske Verksteder AS (Rissa, Norway). It has a length of 443 feet and a gross tonnage of 16151 gt. It underwent refurbishing projects in 2017. This ship is the last of the Millenium class of the Hurtigruten fleet. The Midnastol cruises through the Norwegiann fjords.

The cabins on board The Hurtigruten MS Midnastol are comfortable. There are 301 cabins in 11 different categories to accommodate the guests. The staterooms measure 75 to 140 square feet. The largest accommodation on board is the Owner’s Suite which measures 480 square feet.   The cabins on board have heated floors, bath products, telephone and writing desk as well radio.

The main dining area on board MS Midnastol offers various dining places. The main restaurant on board is the Midnatsol Restaurant which has 335 seating capacity offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of the menus are based from local and fresh produce. Dinner is served in fixed seating arrangement.

The MS Midnastol offers various activities for their guests on board. There are various lounges and bars on board including the  Mysterier Bar with full service bar service. The Sun Deck is the perfect place for star gazing or watching the Northern Lights. There are interesting activities for guests to keep them entertained including the lectures by experts and scientists on board, shore excursions about Norwegian culture, Northern Lights and Christmas. There are various lounges and clubs aboard the MS Midnastol like the Car Deck, Promenade Ceck and Panorama Lounge, Paradis Bar, Mysterier Bar and Polar Bar. There is an internet connection on board. The Hurtigruten MS Midnastol has a wellness and health facility. This vessel has the TRIM Fitness which is equipped with free weights, exercise bikes and saunas for both men and women. There are 2 jacuzzis on board for guest to use.
