You may be visiting dozens of port cities featuring some of the world’s finest galleries while cruising, but you don’t even need to step foot off your ship to experience fabulous pieces of art.
Regent Seven Seas has a particular dedication to bringing fine art to the high seas. The Seven Seas Splendour alone features museum-quality pieces from more than 200 artists.
“We created a contemporary fine art collection that transforms each space with thoughtfulness, colour and inspired creativity to the perfect ambience of luxury,” Frank Del Rio, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd, says on the Regent Seven Seas website.
Del Rio personally commissioned the pieces for the ship.
But it’s not just pieces of art the line is invested in. Regent recently became a sponsor of the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ member society, the Australian Ballet and the Queensland Ballet.
