Steve Odell named in top 50 LGBTI leaders in Australia

Norwegian Cruise Line’s senior VP and managing director Steve Odell has been named one of Australia’s outstanding 50 LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) leaders of 2018.

“I am a vocal and proud member of the LGBTI community and am delighted to be part of a movement which is focussed on fostering inclusion, equality and diversity in the workplace for members in today’s workforce and for those of the future,” Mr Odell said.

The award, an initiative of Deloitte and Google Australia, is to develop workplace inclusion and create role models for LGBTI workers.

NCL was one of the first cruise companies to support the Australian Marriage Equality YES Campaign last year.

As the company’s CEO, President and Director Frank Del Rio said: “An equitable society, free of discrimination, allows its people to function at their best.”
