PRINCESS REVEALS LARGEST EVER AUSTRALIAN DEPLOYMENT

Princess Cruises has announced its biggest ever cruise season in 2019-20 with the deployment of five Princess ships to cruise in Australian waters. The five Princess ships – Majestic, Ruby, Sun, Golden and Sea – will carry more guests than ever on itineraries from Sydney, Melbourne, Fremantle, Adelaide, Brisbane and Auckland. The historic season will be spearheaded by the maiden arrival of the 3080-passenger Ruby Princess and the 3560- guests Majestic Princess on her second season Down Under.

Cruising 444 cruise days out of Sydney, Majestic and Ruby will generate a combined capacity of 100,000 guests –a 25 per cent increase in capacity over the 2018-19 summer season. The arrival of both Ruby and Majestic ships in Australia will mean that two of the four latest Princess ships, will be sailing in the region. “Princess is gearing up for the for our largest Australian and New Zealand deployment in history which will see a record number of people on Princess ships over the 2019-20 season,’’ said Stuart Allison, senior vice president Princess Cruises Asia Pacific.

The five Princess ships will offer 60 itineraries to over 100 destinations in 30 countries. South Australia will also see a surge in cruise ships with Golden Princess, Sun Princess and Majestic Princess completing itineraries to and from Adelaide. In another milestone, Sun Princess will spend an unprecedented 141 days homeported in Fremantle, the biggest financial commitment made to WA by a cruise line. In Brisbane, Sea Princess will return to offer voyages to New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Coral Sea, South Pacific and Hawaii. Highlights of the

Sea Princess itineraries include a new 10-day voyage to Tasmania calling at Burnie, Port Arthur, Hobart and Sydney. In Melbourne where Golden Princess will be homeported, itineraries include sailings to New Zealand, South Australia and South Pacific. Bookings for Princess largest Australian and New Zealand season will open on April 18 for Elite Princess guests. General public bookings open on April 19.
