Royal Caribbean has as good as confirmed the arrival of Anthem of the Seas to Australia, just as Cruise Passenger reported, with a cryptic post on its official Facebook page.
The post features a bright a bright white and pink headline proclaiming “Hey Sydney, there’s a new ship coming to town 2025-26”.
It had had a further tagline saying: “This anthem will rock you so make sure you save the date: 2025-2026 Adventures from Australia are on sale 10 April, 2024”. That means the line has pretty much confirmed what Cruise Passenger reported on Friday – that Anthem of the Seas will be arriving to cruise Australian waters from next year.
That’s because the stage show We Will Rock You is currently only being performed on Anthem of the Seas. The ship is currently sailing out of Cape Liberty Bayonne, New Jersey. It is on on its way to the Bahamas, including the line’s private island CocoCay.
Brisbane to get skates on
Meanwhile, Brisbane is set to get Voyager if the Seas after Royal Caribbean posted a similar reveal.
“Hey Brissie, Get your skates on. There’s a new ship coming to town,” the headline said.
“Amped up adventure is coming your way so mark your calendars: 2025-2026 Adventures from Australia are on sale 10 April, 2024,” the post added.
Website reveals new itineraries
Future embarkation ports include Seattle, Washington in the US, Southampton, England and Singapore. The line had been tight-lipped about season 2025/26. But a search of the Royal Caribbean website indicated Voyager of the Seas departing Brisbane and Anthem of the Seas departing Sydney.
While two itineraries were offered on the Royal Caribbean website, they were promptly taken down after Cruise Passenger made inquiries. That included a nine-night South Pacific cruise on Anthem of the Seas. There was also a four-night Queensland cruise on Voyager of the Seas, in March and February 2026 respectively.
The 4168-4825 passenger capacity Anthem will be a decade old by the time it arrives, having been launched in 2015.
The posts follow Quantum of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas showing no further Australian deployments after April 2025. That left Australian cruisers left wondering as to which ships will be sailing here.
Royal Caribbean has been approached for comment.
