Escapes by Globus has six brand new European tours

Tour company Globus wants to help you beat the crowds, with six brand new tours being added to their portfolio, each with a particular focus on off-season travel. The tours also include adventures in lesser-visited countries such as Finland, Albania, and Malta.

Gai Tyrrell, managing director of Australasia, Globus said: “Off-season travel is the hottest trend in touring.

“When the heat is off, and crowds are halved, Escapes by Globus travellers can wind and bend their way through Europe’s narrow streets and alleys with the locals – only locals. Even better? Escapes by Globus tours are priced from AUD $145 per day and include Globus’ signature excursions, recommendations from local guides and the support of a Tour Director.

“We are delighted to expand our Escapes by Globus portfolio to give Aussies greater access to Europe’s iconic sights and bucket-list itineraries with a lower price tag. Demand for Europe has never been higher, and we look forward to welcoming travellers on our special off-season adventures, particularly on our exciting new tours and destinations.”

The new tours include a six-day exploration of Finland, a week in Wales from London, an eight-day Prague to Munich journey, an eight-day Turkish escape, a nine-day exploration of Croatian and Albania, and a ten-day Sicilian Escape with a stop in Malta.

The Finland Escape will take you to the famous fjords with fewer sets of eyes competing for the view. After leaving from Oulo, you’ll pass through rural fishing villages and local breweries, visit a reindeer farm in Lapland and the hometown of Santa Claus in Rovaniemi, and have plenty more adventures including the pursuit of the Northern Lights.

If you opt for the Turkish Escape where Europe meets Asia, you’ll start off in Istanbul before beginning on an immersive journey through the country. You’ll get an insightful walkthrough of both modern and ancient history, from the fallen Anzac heroes to historical sites dating from 3000 BC.
