A P&O cruise ship has reportedly crashed into a petrol tanks in Mallorca. The ‘weather-related’ incident resulted in injuries among the passengers.
Those left with minor injuries were treated by medical staff after the crash.
A woman on the cruise told Wales Online: “We were up browsing on our phones in bed and heard the big horn after the bang. It was panic stations, I was bawling my eyes out.

Following the pandemonium of the crash, many passengers weren’t able to continue their cruise.
The cruise company reported that due to “sustained structural issues” the ship will sail back to port with reduced numbers. More than 300 guests were taken off the ship and flown back to the cruises starting point in Southhampton.
Britannia was battling with harsh weather conditions in a severe storm when the incident happened.
“We are so sorry but these extraordinary circumstances mean that the ship is required, by maritime regulation, to return to Southampton with a reduced number of people on board.”
