The search is on for an Aussie cruise celebrity like Pitbull

Cruise Passenger is on the search for an Aussie equivalent of Pitbull to partner with cruise lines to produce boozy brands.

Most recently, Princess has started serving up Voli 305 Vodka created by American rapper Pitbull on Sun Princess.

The star-crossed cocktails could be coming to ships sailing in Australian waters – which got us thinking…what if they paired drinks with local stars?

Like Sam VODKerr? Or Kylie Minogue’s Cabernet?

So far the cruise line has partnered with Brazilian artist and painter Romero Britto to unveil Love Prosecco which will be the tipple of choice in the Love by Britto restaurant.

The line will also introduce three new wines with country music singer Jason Aldean to be sipped onboard.

But what about our Australian stars?

Princess has described Aldean’s Sauvignon Blanc as “crisp” and the Cabernet Sauvignon as “fruit-forward” infused with notes of blueberry and blackberry.

Princess collaboration with musicians Pitbull and Jason Aldean and Brazilian artist Romero Britto is aimed at introducing its new Love Line Premium Liquors collection initially onboard Sun Princess and sold in bars across the Princess fleet.

Britto designed the Love Prosecco label while the sparkling wine was made by winemaker Villa Sandi which will be served at the Love by Britto restaurant aboard Sun Princess.

Princess adds to the upscale beverage package

The line has added high-end beverages as part of the Premier Beverage Package offering. Included is:

  • Top-shelf spirits, reserve wines by the glass, and new high-end crafted cocktails by Mixologist Rob Floyd
  • Selection of 75+ spirits, 40+ wines by the glass, 20+ high-end, crafted cocktails
  • Premier wines by the glass including Duckhorn, Stag’s Leap, Grgich Hills, and Cattier Champagne
  • Private Woodford Reserve Bourbon Selection created exclusively for Princess
  • Personalized Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Single Barrel Select

The Love Line Premium Liquors collection will be part of the new mix of drinks.

“Crafted in collaboration with renowned celebrities Pitbull, Jason Aldean, and Romero Britto, this exclusive line of wines and spirits promises an unparalleled experience for guests sailing aboard ships from the Love Boat,” Princess Cruises shared on its website.

Celebrities and cruise booze

Pitbull is an American rapper and singer whose first single is called “I Feel Good.” He said he chose his stage name Pitbull because the dogs “bite to lock.”

Princess is not the first line to collaborate with celebrities. Former cricketer Ricky Ponting has tied up with Royal Caribbean which serves Ponting Wines onboard its fleet.

The big question is whether other lines will do a tie-up with singing Budgie and Pop Princess Kylie Minogue, 50, who recently launched a Prosecco and signature Rose.

Send us your ideas and we’ll send one lucky reader a bottle of Moet who we think has the most star-struck name.

Put your ideas in the comments section to win. But hurry. This contest closes on Thursday, June 21.
