Uniworld bolsters European fleet with two new ships

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises have added to their fleet of European river ships, acquiring two new luxury vessels.

The cruise line has purchased SS Victoria and SS Elisabeth from Seaside Collection. Previously these ships were part of the Crystal Cruises river fleet as Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler.

The ships are identically sister ships, accommodating 110 guests across 55 suites and staterooms. All rooms have full-length windows right ahead of king-sized beds, offering views of the scenery.

The ships also have a massage room, gym, a bistro for snacks, rooftop bar and grill, and fine dining restaurants. As is with other Uniworld sailings, all ingredients will be gathered daily by the Chef from each destination.

What itineraries will they sail?

The SS Victoria will start sailing at the beginning of the 2024 season. The ship will begin sailing in March in Amsterdam, running eight-day ‘Holland & Belgium at Tulip Time’ sailings. Following this the ship will pivot and sail eight-day ‘Castles Along the Rhine’ itineraries from Basel to Amsterdam.

Next, SS Victoria will sail a slightly longer 10-day ‘Magnificent Moselle and Rhine’ itinerary, before sailing a ‘Belgium Holiday Market’s eight-day sailing over the festive time.

The SS Elisabeth isn’t yet locked into any itineraries but will begin sailing in the 2025 season.

“The S.S. Victoria and S.S. Elisabeth are unique vessels that we know our guests will love, featuring a modern design, some of the largest suites on the rivers, and an ambiance that exudes contemporary luxury. Onboard, guests can expect our Tiny Noticeable Touches throughout every aspect, from the impeccable service provided by the Uniworld crew they know and love to the multitude of all-inclusive amenities available to them.”
