Stephen Schwartz showcases a snippet from new Princess Cruises musical

Legendary Broadway musical composer Stephen Schwartz performed a song from a new production, tailored for Princess Cruises.

The show, Magic To Do features classic hits from Pippin and Wicked as well as new hits, written specifically for this spectacular show.

Mr Schwartz, who is in Sydney performing some of his hits at the Opera House, gave a few lucky journalists and travel agents a snippet of the production which will include magical illusions.

The famous composer said the facilities onboard Princess were phenomenal.

“Their onboard theatres are Broadway-calibre venues with state-of-the-art technical capability and coupled with their access to first-rate performers, I see it as an extraordinary and almost irresistible opportunity. I have received overwhelming and enthusiastic interest from talented colleagues – writers and directors and designers to whom I have spoken – and I hope together we will create new kinds of cruise ship shoes to entertain and inspire Princess guests unlike any other productions at sea.

The show will make performed for the first time on the Emerald Princess which will be sailing from Sydney to New Zealand in November.
