Sir Richard Branson welcomes Resilient Lady to Australia

It’s a triumphant week in cruise with Sir Richard Branson welcoming Resilient Lady into Australian waters.

The third ship from Branson’s Virgin Voyages fleet will homeport Down Under and she will be based out of Melbourne.

The ship made her grand entrance into Sydney Harbour at 2pm. In true Branson style, the Virgin Group founder met the ship in a classic wooden speedboat as she sailed through the heads.

Branson guided the Resilient Lady through the Harbour towards Circular Quay where she will be anchored for two nights before she makes her way down to Melbourne.

Virgin Voyages is the first travel brand in the Virgin Group to enter the Australian market since Virgin Australia launched in Down Under in 2000.

The Viking Orion will arrive tomorrow where she will spend a night before heading to her next destination.

The luxurious Seabourn Odyssey will also be arriving in Sydney on Friday before the big arrival of the Celebrity Edge.

Australia’s wave season has well and truly started.

Cruise Passenger will be onboard the Resilient Lady tomorrow so stay tuned for updates.

  1. Very disappointed that I didn’t make this cruise I had an accident three weeks before departure that left me unable to travel I’m a pensioner and had saved hard for this.Unfortunatly Imagine Holidays who I booked through showed no compassion and refused to give any credit or refund.Very upsetting.
