Silversea reveals details of new wellness program “Otium”

Silversea’s newest addition, Silver Dawn will officially welcome its first guests on April 1 when she becomes the 10th ship in the line’s fleet.

Leading up to this date Silversea has revealed the details of Silver Dawn’s Otium wellness program, a balanced indulgence rooted in Roman lifestyle.

Barbara Muckermann, Silversea’s Chief Commercial Officer said: “With Otium, our guests will enjoy the next iteration of Silversea’s trademark level of comfort, as part of an innovation in wellness at sea.

“Thoughtfully designed with Otium in mind, Silver Dawn’s reimagined spa offers guests unprecedented comfort—enhanced with Roman-inspired art pieces, elegant furnishings, and a curated Otium treatment menu.

“Starting in suites with dedicated balconies, bathing and sleeping experiences, before intensifying in the beautiful Otium Spa, and extending through the ship with unforgettable moments of pleasure, the Otium wellness journey has been designed to pamper our guests like never before.”

The Otium journey is with you every step of the way on your cruise. Silversea’s butlers will fill  your stateroom with your choice of scents, a comfort food menu, plush bathrobe and slippers, all before you’ve even made it to the spa. At the spa with panoramic ocean views, you’ll undergo an ancient Roman influence wellness ritual, in-between your hydrothermal treatments.

The new spa spans over more than 790 square metres which also includes a beauty salon, fitness centre, barber salon and outdoor relaxation area.

Treatments include The Otium, where mineral-rich pink salt stones, natural bamboo and grounding calabash will be used alongside fragrant oils to drain the tension from your body, or The Hedone Delight, a bespoke massage complimented by curated aromas and body polish.

You can also opt for The Divine Experience, a purifying of the body via a decadent massage of the scalp, neck, shoulders and special hand treatments or The Apollonian Spirit, a contrast therapy for tired and worn out muscles, providing an instant relief through salt stones and a cold mask.
