Ponant announces L’Austral’s visit to Australia in 2017

 

Its one of the coveted luxury cruise brands, and Aussie cruisers will have an opportunity to be aboard a Ponant ship next year.

The French cruise company has announced its first itinerary in Australia around Kimberley coast between July and September for its international and local cruisers. Ponant’s mega yacht L’Austral will host guests for 10-night voyages between Darwin and Broome.

According to their recent announcement, L’Austral will leave Darwin for Broome on July 3, July 23 and August 12, 2017 and September 1. Visits to rock caves famous for aboriginal impressions and rivers with saltwater crocodiles are the biggest attractions of Ponant’s itinerary next year.

Guests can also look forward to a tour by award winning photographer and adventure enthusiast Mick Fogg, who’s done many expeditions around Kimberley region.

Another development for Ponant is the collaboration with Ducasse Education, which is the catering venture of Michelin-starred French chef Alain Ducasse. As part of the venture Chef Ducasse will train onboard chefs to create menus and produce a consistent culinary experience across Ponant ships.
