Four P&O ships – Pacific Aria, Pacific Eden, Pacific Pearl and Pacific Jewel will be on Sydney Harbour on Australia Day, with more than 6500 guests enjoying the annual celebrations.
Another attraction is the P&O Cruises fireworks display at 9:30pm, with the 5-minute display happening east of Fort Denison.
Being a major sponsor of Australia Day, P&O is also building a giant LEGO ship.
Collaborating with the Museum of Sydney, the cruise liner has invited LEGO lovers to help famous LEGO expert Ryan McNaught as he builds a LEGO version of the Pacific Eden in the forecourt of the Museum between 9am and 3pm tomorrow. Eden’s sister ship Pacific Aria is currently on display at the Museum as part of the Sydney Harbour Icons exhibition. The four ships will begin their Harbour lineup between 4am and 9am.
Pacific Pearl and Pacific Eden will be anchored at Point Piper and Athol Buoy during their 3-night Australia Day cruise from Sydney. Pacific Jewel will be at White Bay Cruise Terminal as part of the 4-night roundtrip cruise from Melbourne, alongside Pacific Aria which is on a 5-night roundtrip cruise from Brisbane.
Both Pacific Jewel and Pacific Aria will anchor east of the bridge near Bradleys Head and Neutral Bay in the evening to enable their guests to enjoy the fireworks.
The four ships will sail from the Harbour after the fireworks display, with Pacific Aria the last to leave at about 11pm.
