After 17-months out of action, Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth is looking in tip-top shape to make her triumphant return to the waters as the cruise line readies itself for a return to sailing.
The first cruise back will be a seven-night voyage through the British Isles, taking in the dramatic views of Scotland’s Isles and coast before returning to Southampton.
The cruise is fully sold out and features famed conductor Anthony Inglis as a guest speaker.
Cunard President, Simon Palethorpe, said: “I think I speak for the entire team at Cunard when I say how delighted we are to be returning to what we do best as we get ready to welcome our guests back on board.”
“We know how much our guests have been looking forward to our first voyage and we hope that they fully immerse themselves in the Cunard on board experience, as they enjoy some of the most stunning coastlines Britain has to offer.”
After a series of further UK voyages, Queen Elizabeth will be mixing up her itinerary in October, cruising from Southampton to Amsterdam, before darting off to the Canary Islands and Madeira in November.
Queen Elizabeth is also set to pay a visit to Australia in the back half of 2022, with itineraries scheduled departing from Sydney starting on November 15, including a 28-night round trip starting from $9299 that goes through the Whitsunday Islands, Darwin, Bali, Kangaroo Island and plenty more.
Cunard is remaining positive for the return of Australian cruising and is seeing overseas news as exciting previews of what’s hopefully to come.
Commercial Director for Australia and New Zealand Katrina McAlpine said: “While the pathway for domestic cruising here in Australia remains uncertain, we are very fortunate to be part of a strong global organisation that continues to support us as we work towards a restart.”
