Cunard announces Literature Festival at Sea with Dymocks

Cunard has announced its inaugural Australian Literature Festival at Sea. The itinerary adds to its Australian sports star and culinary cruises options.

Queen Elizabeth will host award-winning authors in celebration of local literature in the festival held in collaboration with Dymocks.

The luxury British cruise line will bring the successful Northern Hemisphere concept to our shores on December 11, 2024.

The 5-night return sailing, from Sydney to Tasmania, will bring together award-winning authors, passionate readers and aspiring writers. The full line up of literary talent will be announced over the coming months.

“For 35 years, we have been successfully hosting literary events and are now taking it to another level by partnering with one of the world’s most iconic travel companies,” said Event Organiser Judy Benson of Dymocks. The company opened its first bookstore in 1879.

“By joining forces with Cunard, we will create a truly extraordinary experience that combines the elegance of a Cunard cruise with the fascinating world of literature.

The festival will feature some of Australia and New Zealand’s leading authors. There will also be interactive sessions across a diverse range of literary genres.

Bespoke activities in maritime setting

The Australian Literature Festival at Sea offers a unique and captivating experience for book enthusiasts. Sessions will be led by a list of international and local authors. Knowledgeable lecturers will also be on board.
