Cruise the Croatian coastline like a Game of Thrones character

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you might be feeling the devastation that the decade long series has come to a close. But you can still visit the places where parts of the series were filmed.

The warm waters and sunny blue skies of Croatia, was a key location in the filming of epic drama. Even if you aren’t a Game of Thrones fan, you can still enjoy the wonderful coastal sailing of the Croatian coast with Katarina Line.

The company, known for its small ship boutique cruising, offer a unique experiences in this stunning part of Europe. For the Game of Thrones fans, most would know that the steeped, ancient walled city of Dubrovnik was one of the key filming destinations for the series.

Katarina Line, as part of one of its voyages, takes you on a walking tour of the Old City of Dubrovnik where some of the most memorable scenes were filmed.

The guides will show you The Pile Gate, where King Joffrey was involved in a citizen’s riot, see the Lovrijenac fort where the unsuccessful attack on King’s Landing – the Battle of Blackwater – took place. And you’ll even hear some behind the scene stories and gossip, as some of the guides were extras during the filming in Dubrvonik.

The line is also offering a voyage on the same ship used for filming Daenerys Targaryen sailing past the UNESCO site. Katarina’s Game of Thrones experiences are available on the Deluxe Young Professionals cruise which a seven-night voyage for under 39-year-old.

The ship sails along the Adriatic Coast and departs from Split and visits Hvar, Mljet, Dubrovnik, Korcula, Makarska and Split.
