Carnival’s mixologist wins Bacardi cruise competition

Carnival’s mixologists continue to steal the spotlight at the Bacardi Legacy Cruise Competition, winning three awards in last five years.

This year Miroslav Kljajic, Carnival’s master mixologist won ‘Bartender of the Year’ at the famous competition beating more than 4000 entries from top mixologists of leading cruise and ferry brands globally. The jury loved his custom cocktail ‘Elixir Fizz’, a refreshing mix of Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, Tawny port, vanilla/thyme syrup, Prosecco and Fee Brothers Cherry Bitters liqueur.

Working with Carnival since 2012, Miro also won a $4000 cash award, and spot in the finals of the Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail Competition in San Francisco.

The star mixologist launched Alchemy Bar on Australia based Carnival Spirit in 2015. The Alchemy Bar aboard Carnival’s 11 cruise ships is known for featuring unique cocktails with creative monikers; it will soon be launched aboard the new Carnival Vista in May, 2016.
