There’s been plenty of excitement for Cunard’s Great Australian Culinary Voyage since Australian Chef Matt Moran was announced as the headliner. And now Cunard has announced a host of further culinary talent to be on board.
The voyage leaves Sydney on January 28, 2023 and sails for five-nights, also paying a visit to culinary hotspots Melbourne and Burnie.
Mark Olive, a chef of over 30 years, Australian food icon and Bunjalung man, will be joining Matt Moran on board, teaching guests some of his native cooking secrets in a special cooking demonstration. Mr Olive will also produce a three-course menu for a special dinner and following Q&A session.
Also on-board will be Darren Purchese, the owner of B&P Sweet Studio in Melbourne, a local favourite. Mr Purchese will be showing off his own take on Cunard’s Afternoon Tea, with tasty pastry dishes on an exclusive menu and a live cooking demonstration to follow.
Further excitement will be delivered by dynamic duo, Terry Durack and Jill Dupleix, esteemed Australian foodie couple. The two have spent the past 30 years as two of the most celebrated writers and critics in the industry, and will be hosting talks, demonstrations and Q&A’s on-board the cruise.
Huon Hooke, an Australian independent wine writer and critic who’s guided Australians to the best bottles of wine since 1983 will also be a feature on the cruise, hosting a wine masterclass, various talks and helping with wine pairings at special dinners.
The voyage will be the first of its kind for Cunard and the cruise line can’t wait to deliver it.

Launch fares start from $1349 per person for a twin share.
