Carnival Spirit to call Brisbane home with 50 sailings from June 2022

Carnival Cruise Line has announced more than 50 cruises aboard Carnival Spirit to be sailing from the new Brisbane port from June 2022.

The new cruises aboard the Carnival Spirit will be sailing from June 2022 through to March 2023 with itineraries showcasing the best of the Sunshine States’ coastline, including the Great Barrier Reef and sailing internationally to the South Pacific.

Destinations close to home include Airlie Beach, Cairns, Willis Island and Port Douglas.

Further ventures to the South Pacific include Papua New Guinea destinations such as: Conflict Islands, Kiriwina Island, Rabaul, Kitava, and Alotua, as well as Fiji, Vanuatu and all the New Caledonia favorites: Noumea, Lifou Isle, Isle of Pines, Mystery Island, Mare, Port Villa and more.

Carnival’s Vice President Australia, Jennifer Vandekreeke, said: “As our newest home port worldwide, Brisbane will serve as the gateway to fun for our guests to visit stunning tropical destinations close to home and farther afield.  Carnival Spirit’s first two seasons of sailings from Brisbane have been so well received, we couldn’t wait to open up more sailings from the Sunshine State”.

The new Brisbane terminal has been designed with cruise ships and their passengers in mind and features an array of dining options, a retail precinct, and a range of luxury residences.

Carnival Spirit will be the largest ship to be homeported year-round from Queensland in the Brisbane Cruise Terminal.

The ship boasts one of Australia’s largest waterparks at sea, mini-golf, a two-deck fitness centre, jogging track and sports court as well as day spa and pools, spas and an adult only retreat.

Some of the new itinerary highlights include:

  • Seven nights to the South Pacific – from $779 per person, interior twin – based on 12 Feb 2023
  • 11 nights to Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia – from $1,164 per person, interior twin- based on 19 Feb 2023
  • Four nights to Airlie Beach – from $493 per person, interior twin – based on 19 Mar 2023
  • Three nights sampler – from $374 per person, interior twin – based on 2 Feb 2023
