Traditional British line, Cruise & Maritime Voyages has seen an increase in bookings for their 2021 European summer season, indicating that people are still planning for the future.
The line said that Aussies are mainly booking on the Columbus and the line’s newest ship, the Amy Johnson.
“CMV Australia has reported a 67% increase in bookings in the last three weeks since launching its Peace of Mind Booking Guarantee (in comparison to the previous three-week period), showing that Australians are still looking forward to cruising when travel becomes appropriate again. Most of the bookings made were for the 2021 European Summer season, on board both Columbus and CMV’s newest addition to the fleet, Amy Johnson,” said a spokesperson from Cruise & Maritime Voyages.
“Australians are currently booking both domestic and international cruise voyages with CMV, indicating a confidence in future travel and that travellers want to have something to look forward to once travel bans are eased. Grand voyages between Europe and Australasia also continue to be popular, accounting for approximately a quarter of bookings. The findings also show a continued appetite for travel within Australia, with one in five bookings being for domestic Australian cruises.”
CMV has also extended its Buy One Get One Free Early Booking Special. This will ensure that guests who are using their future cruise credits to book, can secure the same cabin category they originally had or better, on a similar voyage, without having to pay extra.
