Why you’ve “got” to sail Croatia at these prices!

There is no doubt Game of Thrones has spun the spotlight on Croatia – tens of thousands of fans have visited Dubrovnik in the past two years.

But while you won’t find King’s Landing – you will find some of the most beautiful water locations – and one of the most amazing fleets of small ships to take it all in.

And the good news is there has never been a better time to sail in Croatia.

Premier small ship cruise operator, Katarina Line is offering last minute, two-for-one specials on some of the most popular routes along the Adriatic Coast for travel in May. So you’d better hurry.

The two-for-one sale applies to the seven-night round-trip cruise on board

MV Dalmatinac, a traditional wooden ship, departing Split on 18 May. The cruise will call at the stunning destinations of Makarska, Mljet, Dubrovnik, Trstenik, Korcula and Hvar.

Katarina-line-1-1-1Prices start from just US$270 per person based on double occupancy with savings of up to US$1570 per cabin.

If you can’t make that departure, Katarina is also offering two-for-one deals for its seven-night Dalmatian Paradise cruise with prices starting at $1106.59 (US$774 pp) based on double occupancy. The round-trip cruise, departing Split on 25 May, will visit the islands of Korcula, Mljet, Hvar and Brac.

Passengers will be able to experience a wine tasting excursion, swim at Golden Horn beach on the island of Brac and enjoy a Captain’s dinner with live entertainment in the town of Bol.

“These specials provide a great opportunity for travellers to enjoy the warm blue waters, historic port towns and spectacular natural wonders of Croatia that draw record numbers of visitors every year,” says Daniel Hauptfeld, managing director of Katarina Line.

Croatia is best explored by sea and land with a bespoke small company and leading small ship cruise operator like Katarina Line.

The company has a growing fleet of 60 ships in six different categories which caters for guests of all ages and budgets. It operates out of major tourist centres of Opatija, Split and Dubrovnik with guaranteed weekly departures from April to October.

Katarina’s ships cruise by day, providing spectacular views of the Croatian Riviera, hill dotted islands and unspoiled natural wonders where passengers can dive in crystal-clear waters at secluded beaches and world famous beaches. The line prides itself in cruising from one island to another allowing guests to explore the picturesque coastal towns and stunning natural environment.

“Unlike bigger cruise liners with limited time in port, Katarina Line vessels dock right in the heart of even the smallest destinations, so guests can leave or re-embark the ship at will and explore UNESCO-protected sites, historical laneways and see the sights of major tourist centres,” says Katarina.

The line’s chefs produce local specialities prepared from fresh ingredients bought at local markets. A four-course Captain’s dinner with entertainment on board is one of the highlights of the cruise.
