Get ready to share photos and videos, stream movies and never miss another live sporting event while on board Princess as over half their fleet gets fitted out with MedallionNet this year.
Princess is claiming their new Wi-Fi is as good as home broadband – which will be an enormous leap in shipboard internet connectivity.
The six ships that will be enabled with MedallionNet this year are: Coral Princess (April 5) and Island Princess (May 15) in time for the Alaska season, Crown Princess (June 30) and Emerald Princess (August 3) for sailings through Europe, on Sky Princess (October 12) and Golden Princess (December 20).
The line claims it now has the ‘Best Wi-Fi at Sea’ in Australia, and you can try it when Ruby Princess makes her maiden Australian arrival to sail her Sydney to Tasmania roundtrip itineraries from November 2.
It will also be available on board Golden Princess when she homeports in Melbourne from December 20 for the 2019/2020 summer season, sailing itineraries to New Zealand, South Australia and the South Pacific.

Princess Cruises have yet to announce local pricing and packaging, but the MedallionNet is currently going at US$9.99 per day (AU$14) for one device when purchased for the entire voyage.
You can also get up to a 10 per cent discount when you purchase this package pre-cruise, three days ahead of sailing.
Platinum and Elite guests can also use MedallionNet with their Captain Circle minutes or choose to receive an exclusive embarkation day discount on an unlimited package once they board.
“Guests sailing on itineraries out of Melbourne over the 2019/2020 season will be able enjoy access to the Internet at speeds that equal or exceed what they experience on land,” said Princess Cruises Sales and Marketing Director, Nick Ferguson.
