JW Marriott makes its first splash in Spain

JW Mariott, an arm of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 hotel brands across the world, has just made its first exploration into Spain.

Sitting amongst all the life and soul of Madrid, right next to the bursting energy of Puerta del Sol, the hotel takes up a location only a stroll away from many of the most renowned galleries, museums and theatres in the world.

From the hotel, you can take a soak in views of the magical Madrid or look down at the botanical gardens on site, used to grow ingredients for the on-site restaurant and cocktail bar. The hotel will even arrange you a picnic in the gardens, with dishes comprised of local produce.

Amongst the 139-room urban retreat, the majority of rooms have large terraces, there is a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness centre, yoga mats are available in all rooms with QR code access to video workouts and meditations and there’s even a curated bath menu, with carefully crafted playlists and light setups for sensory relaxation.

The hotels design is made to reflect the spirit of the city around it, with the building itself mostly preserved from hundreds of years gone by, with the architecture balancing elements of new and old.

You can expect the divine to every detail, with JW Mariott even collaborating with the Spanish Academy of Perfume, to disperse five ‘Madrid scents’ across the halls of the hotel.

Michelin-star chef Mario Sandoval will be serving up dining and cocktails on sight, using local ingredients and traditional flavours to bring authentic Madrid right to you.
